Summer Camp Details

2024 Adventure Road Trip: Seneca Rocks, WV

  • $1395 | June 24-28

  • Ages 12-16 | Co-ed | Seneca Rocks, WV

Our teen summer camp is a unique climbing adventure road trip to Seneca Rocks, one of the most-storied crags on the East Coast. With plenty of climbing time, hiking, exploration, and more, our signature adventure camp is a one-of-a kind opportunity for enthusiastic teen climbers to build skills and confidence and connect with the outdoors.

After DC-area dropoff and orientation, we’ll head to Seneca Rocks to review the basics of knots, belaying, rappelling, and movement on rock to get comfortable climbing outdoors.

Seneca Rocks, a unique formation of quartzite that rises a thousand feet above the North Fork Valley floor, has been an East Cost hub for trad climbing for over 80 years. Our climbing days will include both single-pitch top rope and multi-pitch climbing with certified guides as well as trad climbing and self-rescue instruction—as well as a summit bid for every camper.

Rest day activities include day hiking, splashing in local swimming holes, exploring Dolly Sods and Spruce Knob, stargazing, and more.

  • All summer camps are staffed with AMGA-certified and first-aid trained instructors.

  • Accommodations are in shared 4-person mountaineering tents separated by age and gender.

  • Transportation from the DC area and between destinations is provided via passenger van
